Of course you know someone was going to ask, What kind of tank is that and how easy was the install, any snags?

Looks real nice and clean back there, good attention to detail.

My question exactly. Looks like the same one in Slammed67's truck. Might it be a Summit tank? Got the part number?

The tank is a summit 16 gallon fuel cell with sender. Part #sum290100. It was actually really easy to install. I just had to notch the front crossmember a little bit due to the crossmember being slanted. Thanks for the compliment. Next weekend the axle and the Trailing arms are going to get painted.

I don't know why, but I didn't give any thought tp moving my tank from the cab until today. That looks like a good setup. How are you handling the filler tube? Inside the fender? Also in one of your pics it appears that the tank rides pretty low below the frame rails. I have straight exhaust pipes, so I guess I would have to go out the sides like you did.

Thanks for the info.

chevykid1969> The cowl is a standard 2 or 3" cowl. I got it from a local dealer here in town that has now gone out of business.

Keh> The fuel fill on a fuel cell is in the center of the tank. I think you can see it in the pics. Alls I am going to do is install a door right above it in the bed. The tank only hangs below the fram about 4". Witch isn't bad at all. A freind installed the blazer tank and it hangs lower than that.

The box on the back is a junction box for all of my wiring. I call it a berg box. It has 8 terminal posts on the inside to connect all of your wires. Thanks for all of the compliments.
