Cool. Congrats. Make sure the machine shop x-rays that thing to make sure it's a good block before you start investing in the rebuild, or building your engine. You'd hate to spend a ton of money, and then find it's cracked.

well,
I'm gonna take of the heads, oil pan etc, clean it up some and hopefully it ain't cracked so I can trade it as a rebuildable core for a rebuilt block. I'll take the heads to a machine shop so they can clean them and check em out etc....and start puting it all together again.

I've never heard of a machine shop x-raying a block. Those things are kinda pricey for machine shops, I know cuz I sell them. You're talking almost $100k for a 350 or 450 kV machine. It would need to be that big to do a block. I have heard of shops Magnafluxing them though, which will find cracks.
