Re: lift drive shafts

You might ask your question over in the 4x4 area.
You're not getting much help here.

Anyone?

Re: lift drive shafts

I'm going to move this to 4x4. I think you'll get a quicker response.

Re: lift drive shafts

If you drop the tcase it will change the angle of the u-joint near the transfer case, which typically helps if you are having a rear shaft vibration issue. However, when you drop the tcase it will tilt the u-joint for the front shaft up..

What is the shaft rubbing on?

Re: lift drive shafts

putting a t-case drop on would help you and hurt you at the same time, dropping it helps with your rear shaft and your front shaft when it comes to length, but at the same time it puts ur cardian joint (tcase side) on more of an angle. so depending on how much you flex it, the u joint will bind. but my 84 long bed has a 7inch suspenion and my front doesnt bind, not does it rub, but i made 1 inch spacers (tcase drop) for the crossmember, and my brothers shortbed is on 8 suspension, doesnt bind or rub either
