Pics of trucks with stock suspension

Dad's 83 is a slow work in progress. I have it running like a champ, now will SLOOOOWWWWLY move towards cosmetic stuff. It's an 83 bone stock, 35K miles, 305 with SM465. Has cracked dash, about 2 inches of tree sap, and 99% rust free. I plan on getting the interior cleaned up first, then paint, but I also want to put some wheels/tires on it. Right now it has white wheels with GMC hubcaps (bone stock, like I said) with some 235's on it. I've seen leveled trucks my whole life (guessing a leaf out of the rear spring pack) but I'd rather leave the suspension alone, but just put something on there that looks a little better. Not a 20" rim guy, prefer the old school crager etc look. Post your pics please so I can see what I wanna do......

Re: Pics of trucks with stock suspension

This is exactly the kinda pics I'm looking for. What size tires are ya'll running. They look smaller than the 235/75's that are on my truck now.

Re: Pics of trucks with stock suspension

I'm also interested...

I've been told to look into 275/60 r15's... I prefer a solid looking foot under my truck, if that makes sense.

Anyone has stock suspension with 275/60's?

So they're wider than the 235's...but not any taller?

Is there a slightly taller option for 15x8 wheels on a 2wd stock truck?

Re: Pics of trucks with stock suspension

Mine when I got it, 295/60-15 rear, 275/65-15 front. I want to change it, but the tiers are new so I guess I have to live with it for a while.

Re: Pics of trucks with stock suspension

Thanks for the comparison shots!

I like the height of the 235's but the width of the 275's!

How do I get both?!?!

Re: Pics of trucks with stock suspension

maybe a 275 65 r15 tire then? Would that be about the same height as the 235 75 r 15 tire since that other tire is a 275 60 r15? I know there's some tire calculators out there that give you the actual dimensions, anybody got one handy?
