If you have the stock exhaust manifolds get a set of wires for a 1978 Corvette and run them down behind the manifolds. They will be the right length.

Re: HEI conversion wires

Is it the spark plug wires? So with a 78 Corvette set, you can align them with the stock spark plug retainers on our year trucks?

That should be correct, yes. He is talking with the HEI distributor. The '78 Corvette has the HEI distributor and uses the rams horn exhaust manifolds....

Yes, that keeps them out of the way of the pipes.

Re: HEI conversion wires

Thanks Leon. I also have the hei set up on my trucks. And had a hard time finding the longer wires for it.

Re: HEI conversion wires

Routing the wires down and under as original just looks better topside to me. Pet peave I guess. Wires just laying over the top of the valve covers looks cluttered to me.
But yes the 75 to 78 Vette hei wires fit your engines.

Re: HEI conversion wires

I just picked up a set for my 71 with HEI, I got them for a mid 70's full size with a 454. They had plenty of length, and fit fairly well for off the shelf plug wires. I prefer to make them myself so they fit PERFECT
