Front Headlner

What year did Blazers and Jimmys start having headliners offered and was there a certain trim level that they were standard in. My 78 Jimmy does not have one. Most of the aftermarket upholstrey places offer either molded fiber board covered or the ABS plastic covered. I have all of the trim pieces and was wondering if it should have one.

Re: Front Headlner

My 79 has one. It's a Cheyenne, for whatever that's worth.

Re: Front Headlner

My 79 Cheyenne does, a previous 76 Cheyenne didn't. But I don't know the cut-off year.

Re: Front Headlner

According to the document that has all the options in it from the dearship, in 1979 the Cheyenne had a headliner as part of what made it "better" than the Custom Deluxe.

From the book:
"Headliner: Front Compartment; Mystic color hardboard backed foam rubber with perforated vinyl skin; Includes matching windshield pillar and retainer moldings"
