what headers?
I am getting ready to install a fresh 383 in my 70' blazer, the headers that come off the original motor were Doug Thourley, i had to grind the frame on the passenger side for clearence and they barely cleared my front shackles. So basically I don't want to reuse those. I would like to see what brand, if you had any clearence problems or other issues. Any input would help. Thanks!

You have an auto I take it? The Thorleys wouldn't fit in my Jimmy with the 4 speed. Go Heddmans. They fit with no clearance issues, manual or auto. I ditched mine in favor of 2 1/2" vette manifolds and couldn't be happier. They might cost you a little in max output, but they rock in the low-mid area where I use mine. I have an Energizer 266 210@.050 and .440 lift. The bigger your cam, the more they will hurt you. I have 2 1/2" Dynomax Hemi Turbos and with the manifolds, the loudest thing under the hood is the alternator bearing! Big power is cool, and big power QUIET is even cooler IMO.
