What range of year hinges will work for our 81-87 pickups? Just 81-87 or will other year tailgate hinges work on an 81-87 too?

I know that the 77 trunnions (bottom of right bedside) are different than the newer ones. I put an 84 bedside and I had to use my old ones because the newer style was larger.
