I spent about 60 seconds on the area around the screw hole. I used a putty knife and some extra fine steel wool. You can see all the rust powder all over that came up in that short time. Compare it too the picture in the first post. That being said, I am sure once you are finished cleaning it up you will be left with some minor pitting.
