Re: What's wrong with this swb on ebay

What exactly are you asking? He states he lowered it, so you can already credit the seller as someone who wasn't aiming at a concourse restoration. It looks like a nice driver though. I do know the power steering fluid (assuming) soaking the steering box and sway bar bushing isn't consistent with a frame off restoration using the best parts as he states. If you are asking if the big block with power brakes power steering is original, ask the seller for the Vin. That will cover a lot. Other than that, it really looks to be a driver.

The mirror is mounted on the windshield, and the doors have the correct screws by the vent windows. It appears to be correct for a 72. It also looks as if the poster has gone out of his way to show the little flaws, which I would take a good sign they're not trying to hide anything.

Re: What's wrong with this swb on ebay

Looks pretty darn nice and nothing I can tell from the listing says to me it couldn't be the original rare truck that should get good money. I think it's worth the "Buy it now". It was things that look awful dirty for 2,000 miles, but restoration is a broad term. It appears to be freshly built, yet not what I call "complete" or a "nut & bolt" restoration. I'm not sure of the quality of work or how good the truck really is under the fresh paint based simply on those door corners. To me,the color looks a bit off,at least on my computer.

the seat mountung bolts were weled to the floor make sure the support is there on all mounts so they don't pull through the floor on a hard stop

Murphy's Law. When I built my truck I overlooked two components. The rearend and steering box. Everything else was replaced or restored. Later my rearend would go out requiring a complete rebuild. Now my steering box leaks. Not nearly as much as his but it still needs replacing. Like me, I'm willing to bet he overlooked it.

Pricing is about right. It has 69-70 bucket seats in it!
