Exclamation Relocating my front shocks.

I need some info on relocating my front shocks. I have a 1965 C-10 that I am installing air bags on. I was told that it was a good idea to relocate my front shock mount a little higher,so my questions is; Which one should I use? I have searched through the internet and this forum and seen numerous one from POL, CPP, Ride Tech and others. So if some one can help me out again that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Re: Relocating my front shocks.

POL offers a simple bolt-on upper shock bracket that allows for more travel using factory replacement (C10) shocks. Cheapest/simplest option....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: Relocating my front shocks.

Ride Tech offers a universal upper shock relocation bracket/tower that's a 'weld-on' deal but it can be modified & welded to a bolt-on bracket. More work but easier to optimize per your specific build requirements....

Re: Relocating my front shocks.

Hotchkis has a nice front shock kit w/Hotchkis tuned Bilsteins & relocation brackets for better geometry. Their stuff is intended for coil apps but does offer greater travel & would still work better than OE shock mounting. Most expensive option but very high quality shocks & significant R&D focus on shock performance....

Scoti, Thanks for the response and the options. I think th POL is the one I will try. The Hotchkis one is a little expensive and the Ride Tech one looks like you need to work around the inner fender. Again thanks for the help.

Re: Relocating my front shocks.

Junkyard option. A 4wd chevy with dual shocks, the second shock bracket is pretty neat.

Not to get too far off topic, I wonder if these would work on the 73-87 trucks. They look like they would, but I see they're listed for only 63-72. Anyone have any input?

They would; but would require trimming the inner wheel well (you can see how close it comes to the top of the frame in the 1st pic). That being said, 73-87's are slightly taller in the shock area & can utilize a cheap homemade relocator out of 2" square .250" wall tube.

The last pic is from Ride Tech. It's similar in function....
