WIW...'83 Custom Deluxe
Been driving by this guys house, where he has an '83 Custom Deluxe C-10 SWB Fleetside. Someone stole the left front tire/wheel off of it so he pulled it down beside his garage (busy street). Anyway, you can see the driveshaft is out of the tailshaft. He says the transmission is still in it. No engine. It has a tilt column. The body is fairly straight...one ding in the right side of the bed, between the door and wheel opening. I did see a minor bit of rot behind the left rear wheel. Guy wants $500 for what he has. It hasn't been lowered, so it is a bit tall, for my tastes. But, it looks like a good place to hide my '69 350/TH400 while my '69 is blown apart.
Square bodies haven't always been my favorite, but I long for the sound of a V8...my V8...and the Flowmasters that I haven't heard in over 2 years. Just don't know what SWB C-10's from '83 are worth...without engines and transmissions.

Try to get pictures of it, people on here can help way more with pictures of it's flaws or it's good.

Re: WIW...'83 Custom Deluxe
I'd offer 350-400 and see what happens.

Re: WIW...'83 Custom Deluxe
Gonna call the guy and stop by and take some pix so I can mull 'em over. Last thing I want/need, is a buttload of body work. Paint is a given, but I'm thinking at this point, that Maaco is a very good alternative for a DD.
