Can you Count how Many ?

Saw this on Hemmings this morning, are they all 4x4's ? Cripple Creek CO. 1974

That's awesome! And, no, I don't think the sedans are all 4x4.

Cool picture!! I see three that are 2wd. I've been to Cripple Creek,too. Back then even in the mountain states only so many people had 4wds.

As I recall,beforethe blizzard of 1978 there were few 4X4s. From that point on, 4X4s became the rage. In my area, new 2X4 trucks are harder to find and low optioned. To get a 2X with all the bells and whistles, you need to order it.

I too have been to Cripple Creek. I hauled a load of mining equipment to a gold mine operation there from L A. It was Feb and the little road up the mountain was snow packed and ice. I was not ready for it but had to go up anyway. A guy put me in his jeep and showed me the town while they got a crane in place to unload me. It is one of my never forget it places

Sure looks different than it did last fall- the aspens were turning when we were in that part of CO on our honeymoon. Cool picture for sure.

I bet that was a hairy ride up along the creek with a load and bad roads.
