how much vacuum

what is the mininum vacuum to run power brakes i have 11 lbs
will they work

Thats kind of light on the vacuum. Ive run power brakes with big cams and 10-11 inches of vacuum and even with one of the vacuum reservoir cans the brakes were really on the marginal side of being very effective.

Your best bet is to pick up one of the hydroboost units. Ive seen them for pretty reasonable prices . You could cobble together a complete hydroboost setup under $150.
