Power Steering/Brakes conversion help

I got myself a 1968 Chevy C10 and I am trying to develop a rebuild/restore plan. My wife will eventually be driving this truck with me on long trips, so the manual steering and brakes are going to have to go. My question is: What other vehicles can I yank the necessary parts out of? I've been told a '72 C10's spindles will bolt right on for the brakes, but finding one with the parts still on is not the easiest thing in the world. I was hoping to broaden the horizon as far as compatibility goes, say some other types of vehicles. Any help would be much appreciated.

PS. For some reason I can't post to the sell board so, I have an original gas cap off my truck that I won't be be using (in my neck of the woods, you better lock it, or lose it). The pictures aren't the greatest. It's green and a little surface rusty. A few very small dents on the top. As you can see the gasket is cracked and missing little bits. It's free to a good home, just send me $5.35 for the USPS ship anywhere box. First come, first served.

I believe 73-87 will work also. But you would need to switch ball joints.

Re: Power Steering/Brakes conversion help

There are lots of options to put disc brakes on these trucks.Adding power is just brackets a brake rod and the parts.PS can be used from any 68-86 truck but hoses may cause some concern. The easiest way would be to buy a complete front suspansion from a 73-86 and just swap the whole crossmember, however most will need to be rebuilt. There are kits available from most of the vendors that will convert and lower if you choose.Check them for what they contain, since some may still require buying the typical rebuild parts.
Power steering set-ups only require matching the brackets to the water pump and other components. There is a long and a short. Some later model PS has a different(style and metric size) hose connections.Make sure and get all pulleys and brackets from the same donor.
You should probably start with a search that will give you more specifics and options.(Knowledge is power)
