Fuel tank connection leaking

I still have the tank behind my seat in my '65. Whenever I fill up, fuel will leak out of the compression fitting where the hard fuel line connects to the sending unit on the tank. Could Teflon tape/liquid Teflon possibly remedy this? And yes, it is good and tight.

Re: Fuel tank connection leaking

I would try it first, then probably replace the fitting on the line 2nd.

Re: Fuel tank connection leaking

Compression fitting is key word here...fix it ...not with trying to patch with teflon ...my 2 cents
