Dropping Gas Tank on my 83 1-ton (SRW)

My 83 Chevy 1-ton (SRW) gas gage is acting like the float is bad. I've made a deal with a good friend of mine to trade the truck for his camper trailer and part of the deal was I was going to fix the gas gage, and do a few other little things to the truck. He's going to use it to tow his 25ft camper trailer.

Anyways, the truck has a huge saddle tank on the driver side. I've got it unbolted from the frame and am working on disconnecting the fuel lines. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks to get the tank out without using too many swear words. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

if pulling the bed is not an option get a floor jack with some wood and remove the gas tank by taking the entire mounts with it lower it enough to get in there and disconnect the lines
make sure that the o ring is in good before you put it all back too
