rear axle guru needed! what is it?????
any ideas? i found it up in a barn attic. it is a bottom loader.

The single keyway on the axle makes my think it's probably 1930s or older. But it has juice brakes, so... ?? No clue what it was in originally.

Just a WAG(Wild A$$ED GUESS) but I would think a farm machine.Maybe a combine,some kind of row harvester or such.Looks a bit like a modifid 9 in Furd.

It is shaped like the Currie high pinoin dana 60...but built out of a ford 9" center section. Definitely interesting.

I know this is a long shot BUT the A in a circle looks like the logo of Seddon Atkinson (just plain Atkinson as was when it was founded in 1937), a UK based truck manufacturer. They were bought out by Intenational Harvester in 1974 and then by a Spanish company and its now part of IVECO.
Maybe it found its way over to the USA at some point, they did make showmans wagons for the fairgrounds as well obviously as wartime equipment during WWII and then normal trucks, still in production today. They started off making steam trucks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seddon_Atkinson
