Re: Hot Wheels Electric Co Custom 69

I haven't seen the green one, but I picked up a couple in matte blue the other day. Since blue is my favorite color, naturally I prefer this one.

I got a couple green ones a few months ago. I will have to look for the blue ones. I need to find the Blazer everyone has been finding too.

I picked this Blazer up at the same time as the blue '69. Unfortunately, there was only one hanging on the peg. I generally try to pick up two so I can open one.

I picked up two of the Sat. Evening Post Blazers even though I think they are ugly.

Agreed. Green and gold just don't go together well for me.

I generally steer away from anything with gold instead of chrome. Just not my taste. I haven't bought any of these electric co, ones because of the yellow wheels.

I don't like the gold or yellow wheels either. I bought extras to use for customs.

Not my first choice, but I think the yellow stripe wheels work fine on that blue truck. I wouldn't do it in real life, but it works on a toy.

Re: Hot Wheels Electric Co Custom 69

I was by a Toys R Us today and went in. I haven't been in one in years. I found one of those blue electric company trucks. I looked at it and decided to put it back. I guess I don't have to have them all. I like them without the tampos. The one wrestler one I bought was only to use to strip and paint myself. But,at least those had decent wheels.

I haven't seen that blue one anywhere yet. There are 5 versions of the 70 blazer already.

The blue '69 has two different sets of wheels. The ones I found has chrome spoke wheels and redlines; haven't found the yellow spoke wheels yet.

Re: Hot Wheels Electric Co Custom 69

A little research tells me that the redline version is a Wal-Mart exclusive.

I see the eBay auction where you got that pic from. That redline version looks jacked up like the body isn't riveted to the chassis right. Here's a clean pic of the redline version.

Re: Hot Wheels Electric Co Custom 69

The one I saw at Walmart had the yellow wheels. I had seen that these were Walmart exclusives, but didn't realize it's a different version and they must have both

Yeah, mine came from Wal-Mart too. All I've yet to see of the blue one is the yellow wheeled version, but now that I know there's an exclusive, I'll keep a sharper eye out.

Found the yellow spoked one today.
Yeah, the redlines version is a WalMart exclusive. They put out around 10-12 cars/trucks with the redlines.

Re: Hot Wheels Electric Co Custom 69

I guess I'll start searching for the blue one w/redlines.

On another note, you would sear your corneas driving a car with a yellow windshield. I have some high contract yellow shooting glasses and I can only wear them at dawn or dusk.

Re: Hot Wheels Electric Co Custom 69

I dropped by a couple of Wal-Marts in other towns today to see if I could have any luck. I was hopeful at the first store when I noticed they had about 6 or so other models with the redline 5-spokes and had several of each of those cars, but alas, no blue Chevy pickups to be found.

Re: Hot Wheels Electric Co Custom 69

Hey, if you guys are having a hard time finding these '69's on the pegs, check to see if the store has a dump box/bin set up in the middle of the aisles.; usually where they put the big cube boxes. The dump bins are where I have been finding all of mine.

Only 1 of the 7 stores I get around to have the bins.
