8 lug 16.5 wheel ?
I have a dana 60 and 14 bolt axles for my 72 blazer and have a chance to pickup a set of 78 ford f250 stock steel wheels, I heard they will fit but can I get the small chevy hub caps to fit them? I'm going for the factory look.

I have F**d rims on mine also and the hubcaps fit just fine.

Re: 8 lug 16.5 wheel ?
I believe Joe has the later 7 x 16 Ford wheels that have out nubs for hub caps like any normal wheels should. But,Ford's not normal and back when the 16.5s were used it's possible they are the inner nub type that only accept Ford hub caps. Look for the outer nubs. If it has those they are fine. If they are the 9.75 wide wheels chances are they may have gotten the outer nub type. Just check to be sure. Here's what you want shown on stock GM 16s and wide 9.75 x 16.5s:

Re: 8 lug 16.5 wheel ?
Thanks guys for all the info. Here's a pic of two. The silver one looks like the nubs come out, I can't see the white one that well but I see small holes between the stud holes and the valve stem location .

Looks like the nubs are out on the white one too - right by the valve stem.

Re: 8 lug 16.5 wheel ?
Now that I think about it,I'm sure in '78 the Ford hubcaps were outer nub type and those sure look right. I thought I'd let you know. I just sold those wide steel wheels to a guy in PA last weekend and it turns out he can't use them because he has Wilwood discs. The brackets are welded and his axle is already powder coated. If you might want to go wide steelie let me know and I'll get you in touch with him. I see you're in PA and these things are heavy to ship. Just thought I'd give you the option to help my fiend Bill out.

Re: 8 lug 16.5 wheel ?
That would be cool if this works out. I'd buy them back from him,but I only sold them because I needed the money pretty bad. I just saw where he posted them for sale . Here's the link...good luck:
