I have a factory 72 1/2 ton coil spring posi rear. The previous owner claimed that he had it rebuilt but I'm selling as is. I pulled the diff oil fill plug and put my finger in it and the oil was golden not black. I haven't pulled the diff cover yet because it is still in the truck and I didn't know how long it would take for moisture to set in. I think it is a 3.08 but will take the cover off and take a look if anyone is seriously interested. Brakes will need gone through for good measure.

I'm asking $300 and will ship it freight at the buyers cost. Or pick up local.

Finaly here are some pics. Four teeth have some rust but not terrible. It has 14 and 43 stamped in it which should be a 3.08 gear.

Have you driven the truck with this rearend in it? Was it making any noises, whining etc?

I bought the truck to part out and have not heard it under load. All I know is what I can see and what the po told me which is why I say " as is " because I know nothing more. The po claimed he parked the truck because the brakes kept having issues and he was tired of messing with it.

Ok, no problem. I hope wednesday I can get the truck pretty well blown apart. It's probably wishful thinking.
