Extending wheelbase on a 59 chevy

How far forward for those of you doing the subframe install do you guys move the front CL of axle forward? I've seen from 3/4" to 2" for 55-59. What distance looks best on the 59?

1959Chev: I am about the same place you are on my build, however, I am using a GMC ENVOY frame and will be extending it a full 3". The first inch is to get it from stock ENVOY WB of 113" to the stock Chevy wheelbase of 114". The next two inches are to correctly position it in the front fender wheel opening. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Whatever looks right to you is the correct answer. I mocked up the front fender and moved the wheel forward until it felt right to me. You can see the marks on the concrete floor. Turns out, with the stance I am trying achieve, a 2" increase over stock is approximately where I intend to land. The best photo I have of the front fender with wheel in it cuts off the vertical portion of the wheel opening which is the very thing I was trying to capture. The one I attached is the next best thing I have in stock.
