cuting coils

Is there a rule of thump cuting front coils .

Rough rule of thumb is one full coil = 2" drop

1 coil = approx 2" of drop depending on the spring. Some = 2", others 3". It also slightly increases the spring 'rate' vs @ stock height but not enough to compensate for the amount of drop in some cases.
