how in the heck do you get these slats off ? I have tried to take lose the bolts under the bed but all they do is turn. Am i going to have to cut all these bolts off or is there another way? I do not care about the metal slats but I do care about the floor. dont want to tear it up just want to get the slats off so i can refinish the wood. by the way this is a two piece floor not indivagal wood planks. is that weird or is that how all panels were? I painted them yellow so you can see what I am talking about any help would be great.
Thanks Darren

I used a cutoff tool to cut all of the bolts off. I had removed all the wood first though because it was rotten.

Mine was a step bed with the slats, but same concept. I have not seen replacement slats for panels. I wonder if they are the same length as the ones from a long bed. I bet Wes would know......any help guys?

Your panel has a plywood floor on the cargo area. It is different than the trucks. The ware strips that you are talking about are just bolted on top of it. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

WES is right, panels are different. How long are the strips?
I think that Burb strips may work, also. Jim |

105" or 8'9" is how long they are . Wes I know it is a plywood floor and they are bolted throught the floor but they wont come off. 33 years of rust will do that. I did not want to cut and destroy the strips unless I knew a place i could get replacements.
thanks Darren

Takes a long time but try vise grip the bottom side and drill the top center til they pop.
