Opinions on paint colors wanted

I can't, for the life of me, decide on a paint color for my '77 crew cab. It's a lowered crew cab dually with an updated '86-'88 front clip.

(build thread for anyone who's interested: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=351386 )

I'm looking to go with a "somewhat factory" single-tone and I think I'd like to go with something a little understated. I've considered dark greens/olives, dark reds/maroons, and browns, but I'm open to other suggestions. Don't want black. Don't want grey/sliver. Don't want white. Don't want anything really bright.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd like to see them. Like I said, I'm not sold on anything in particular yet.

How about "Highland Green"? Its the color of the Mustang Bullit, low key but a nice color.

I don't blame you on the black, it's a pain in the ass to maintain.

Theres a colour on the Cruze that I always thought was cool its crystal red metallic

It would be a really good colour with a tan interior.

I like those metallic reds, but I was thinking tonight that I may be leaning more towards a metallic tan. Something kinda like this:

That colour is really nice, it's actually close to the colour I plan to go with on my truck (only I'm going with a two tone, with a lighter tan).

The red is a very nice colour, but the metallic tan would be a more classic colour for a Squarebody.

Dodge has a new saddle colour too, thats a little different

It's the secondary colour I'm thinking of using with my truck.

Re: Opinions on paint colors wanted

Right now, I’m really leaning towards a metallic “saddle”, but that’s subject to change on a whim.

I probably won’t settle on a color until I buy the paint.

That truck is beautiful. I think you should do a dark blue for something different...something stock? Bright red with a brownish red middle

Do Plymouth forest green poly. It's on my 73 Road Runner originally and it's a darker green with tiny bit of metal flake in it.

Not my Road Runner but here's an example of Forest Green Poly

My 86 factory color is Nevada Gold. Its actually kind of tan. Throw some metal flake in there, and that would be sharp.
