Has anyone ever got there flows replaced under warranty? do they ask for a reciept? Who do you contact? thanks

You can ask longhorn, I think his wife's Flowmaster went out but I don't know if he got it replaced. And yes, I see your crack.

in the shop where i work, we will only replace them if you have a receipt. we warranty them for 90 days or 3000 miles, after that you pay again and you argue with the manufacturer. we do cover my work for the life of the muffler--hangers, pipes, tips etc.
the crack you have is a common problem on flows. on a normal muffler the inlet and outlet pipes go at least 2/3 of the way through the body of the muffler, some, like magnaflows, go all the way through. on flows, the necks are welded on the ends of the body and are lacking any support. i always weld at least one hanger directly to the inlet or outlet end to help support it.

I replaced mine under warranty. I contacted flowmaster. Sent the muffler along with the receipt. They pay all the shipping with no cost out of your pocket. Great customer service. I hope this helps. Good luck. MDG.....

Sounds like the newer flowmasters aren't what the old ones used to be? I've had a set on here since 95 that have been cut and welded back on atleast 5 times (different engine combos and such). They just don't build things like they used to I guess

the flowmasters currently on my truck lasted something like 10 years and i have brand new ones sitting in the cab waiting to be put on.

Well i heard of a Magna-flow, which I heard its tuffer than flow master, but gives you just about the same sound out of it. and they do i think the same warrenty as flowmasters
