look in the review section to assist in your decision, also I would highly recommend asking one of our board vendors for a quote, I doubt you'll get a better deal. some deal with CPP and MCGaughy products also

fleetman it really depends on your goal. If you want the best deal on 13" brakes, its hard to beat the McGaughys kit. They are the only one that has a matching rear disc conversion. Check our Vendor Marketplace for your best deals.

We have tons of experience with both the McGaughy's and the CPP kits... we can fill you in on all the pros and cons of each kit.

Unfortunately, we don't have any experience with POL so we can't offer you any feedback there.

Shoot us a PM with your conatct info. and we will give you a call!

Re: pol cpp or mcgaughys drop/disc kit ???

checked out review but only found a couple complaints about shipping and ordering problems and others saying they did not have shipping and ordering problems.
i have found no problem with vendors recommending the products they carry.
i kinda was looking for practicle information a novice might need to be aware of when considering a diy install - when looking at pol cpp or mcgaughy.
price is consideration .
i did call up cpp and did find poor operatorgirl and salesman courtesy and porfessionalism imo.
pol was like night and day compared to cpp. brandon H understood my questions/concerns.
want to make choice soon. probably go with pol unless research of product
says no.
thanks for shareing answers.

Re: pol cpp or mcgaughys drop/disc kit ???

I've had good luck ordering from POL and ECE (www.earlyclassic.com).

Re: pol cpp or mcgaughys drop/disc kit ???

what ive learned so far.
mcgaughy is 2 inch drop all others are 2 1/2 why i dont know !
not all kits come with dust cover ( the large disc cover on inside rotor that protects from road debri).
ece is a little pricey.
shipping can vary.

Re: pol cpp or mcgaughys drop/disc kit ???

Most standard drop spindles are 2.5" drop or 3" drop.
McGaughys 2" drop must be with their big brake kit,... like CPP Modular drop spindles which are also only a 2" drop.

Re: pol cpp or mcgaughys drop/disc kit ???

not big brake. its the mcgaughys drop/disc kit seen on summit web, ebay vendors and elsewhere from around 499$
the cpp pol ece drop/disc kits are all 2 1/2 drop, these are all similarly priced ( ece a little higher in price). i didnot look at any 3" drop spindles....

McGaughy's lists their standard drop spindle as a 2.5" drop.
This was from Summits website:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MMC-63173
I'm not sure which one you are looking at that lists them as 2" only.

Belltech sells 3" drop spindles.

Re: pol cpp or mcgaughys drop/disc kit ???

right. i have been looking at kits. the drop spindles you link to are 2 1/2 , ebay has mcgaughy drop/disc kit for 66 c10 2" drop $499.
i think belltech is $$$ isnt it.

thanks for correcting me. its easy to get confused trying to sort out the different kits.
