questions about air ride and allignments

I have all porterbuilt suspension, accuair elevel kit and some very expensive tires... Can anyone give me some pointers on how to dial this thing in to the perfect ride height and how to align it so I don't wear these tires out.

Yup! Here ya go. Align it at what you are thinkin will be "normal" ride height.

Re: questions about air ride and allignments

ok, say a guy just bolted his bags and drop spindles on and needs to get it to the alignment shop and doesn't have a trailer.

toe-in/-out is pretty easy to get "close enough" using the string method, but how does one set the camber "close enough" to drive the vehicle to the shop? what's a good starting point as far as number of and thickness of spacers on the a-arm bolts?

Re: questions about air ride and allignments

I found that you can remove ALL the shims on a stock AND most (as low as 3" at this point) lowered truck and still not have enough camber. In short if you wanna go to the alignment shop set toe and you'll be good. If you are concerned about caster to get to the shop add an 1/8" shim to the front bolts. That should add a little caster.
