1970 Blazer: Missing piece from Drivers Bucket seat.

Hey, so I was trying to figure out why my seat was not adjustable with the lever and found that I am missing a piece. Do you guys know what it looks like/have a spare that you could sell me?

piece of wire that connects the 2 pieces when you pull the lever it pulls the latch on the other side so the seat can move

I'm assuming a piece of mechanics wire may do the trick since there is spring tension on wither side of the track stops. That should be simple enough, just wasn't sure what went there originally.

If memory serves correct the spring on the inside latch which you can see in your pic pulls it back

Yes, you are correct. It appears that I need some sort of link between the two, I'm just not 100% sure what that was. Im assuming a piece of mechanics wire would work since it is always in tension and never in compression.

The wire should work. It was originally a rod with a slight bend in the middle and two 90 degree bends at the ends.

There is also a spring under there. That helps with the tension when going forward and backward adjusting. Not 100% needed for it to work though....
