Electric fan controllers...

I'm looking for a fan controller. I have twin Spal 14" fans and was wondering how other's are controlling their fans. Recommendations please.

Re: Electric fan controllers...

I am running a Centech wiring fan controller. Fully adjustable to accomodate different temp thermostats and runs off of your existing temp sending unit or off a second sending unit(how i did mine). It does not rely on those terrible looking capilary tubes stuffed into the radiator fins or through a hose fitting to the radiator. Also has a case that looks like it was finished, unlike those adjustable units from NAPA and most other auto parts stores.
This unit const about three times as much though, but i would not even think twice about buying another one whenever i need a fan controller. It has worked flawlessly so far.

Here is a link to Centec wiring. http://www.centechwire.com/catalog/cooling/fc2p.shtml

They had three models of controllers when i bought mine.
All depending on the sending unit that is needed to control the unit.

Also, before i purchased mine, i called tech support to ask a question. Who did i get on the phone? The owner of the company, and he answered every question i had without hesitation or asking an employee for help. Top notch service before i had even made a purchase.

Cool Re: Electric fan controllers...

I only have mine on when the AC is turned on. Ran wire from fan switch to relay then to fan. The clutch fan keeps it nice and cool other wise.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Electric fan controllers...

I considered the Centech controller, but I went with the SPAL PWM fan controller on both of my trucks. The controllers are adjustable and able to run two fans with a supplemental wiring harness. I am running dual 11" fans on the trucks.

Re: Electric fan controllers...

These guys make a variety of controllers for the popular Ford 2 speed fans found in Taurus's & Mark VII's.......don't see why they wouldn't work with other fans.
