What are your thoughts, reviews, advice etc...I've been really thinking about installing them in my 85. I think my truck would look CLEAN!

Re: One Piece Products?

I'm happy with mine...

I had mine installed, took them about 4 hours.. they told me that is was a very good kit, had everything and went in smooth... I also added power...

The end result looks nice but I have heard a lot about poor fit and operation after install. For the money, you should be getting a better end product than they offer.

Mine has factory power windows. Does the install look "stock"? Do the windows go up and down in a reasonable amount of time? @ vegas80step

They sure do look good and I have also heard mixed reviews. It probably has a LOT to do with who does the actual installation. A "good kit' is only as good as the guy putting it in.

That's true. Where would be the best place to purchase the kit? I think I'm going to give a shot.

Re: One Piece Products?

I'm going to call it 90% stock looking... the felt and ruber trim around the glass is not perfect.. you can work with it, add a rivet here and there to get a better fit... I had to trim a little bit of the felt channel linning..

bottom line it is an aftermarket kit, to me it falls into the group of a "good kit" because it has everything you need, you will not have to fab anything or redesign anything.. you will have to tweek and work a few things..

I got mine along with power motors as well.. they are after market motors and are very strong.. very smooth and fast.. I'm not sure how they will run on stock motors. if yours are old I'd change them out while I was in there, it would suck to get all done then they work for a week and the motor dies..

Re: One Piece Products?

Thanks for your reply vegas. Is it possible for you to take a close up picture of the felt and rubber trim? I was thinking of doing this kit cause I definitely need to repair the vent windows and the power motors anyway. How's the wind noise inside the cab?

One Piece Products is the only company making them for your body style so just find the best price.

Re: One Piece Products?

I'll try and remember to snap a few...

I don't get any wind noise in the cab.. but I do have new door seals, sound mat on everything, new carpet with extra mat, new window seals..

it sounds like a plan door closing when I slam my door shut.. damn thing will probably float...
