1963 C20 disc conversion

To convert my 1963 C20 to front disc brakes, do I need the front crossmember from the donor 1977 C20, or will the 1977 lower A-arms connect OK with my existing crossmember?

Re: 1963 C20 disc conversion

On the '60-'66 C20's you have to change the crossmember also. This is because the '60-'66 C20's have a flat lower control arm shaft, whereas the '67-'87 C20's have a round shaft. Compare the two where they mount to the crossmember and you will see what I mean.
