Another exhaust question
So I will be getting my truck in 2-3 weeks, and I have been thinking about exhaust options. I probably will tow occasionally , but for sure will be hauling alot. The setup I want to go with is single in and out Cherry Bomb Extreme dumped after the axel. Is this alright, or is there a better setup. Also high priced exhaust systems are out of the question. The previous is for a 1978 GMC Heavy-half 350 bored. 040.

Re: Another exhaust question
If you are already going to a single cherry bomb, whay not just dual exhaust it. Many automotive sullpy stores sell pre-cut/bent/stretched etc etc pieces. One can put together a dual exhaust set up pretty cheap. If you really want to step it up headers can be found for about $100

Re: Another exhaust question
I would rather just run a single. Easy installation and I would rather do that that fake duals. True duals could work but just not right now.

Re: Another exhaust question
Question is, what does the truck have on it and is that usable? The absolute cheapest method is to use what is already on there, or spend as little as possible to repair what is there. If you must have the noise, adapt your muffler of choice into the existing system.

Re: Another exhaust question
not at all, just make sure your dump is a good amount past the gap between the bed and cab. I had issues with exhaust coming it the cab with mine dumped. Actually put on some nice 3" tailpipes today because I was sick of it.
