The biggest GMC & CHEVY truck 1957-1987 meeting (Photos)

Hello everybody and I am really happy that I joined this wonderful website.

Since our website www.gmc502.com was open at the end of 2009, we decided to make an opening meeting for the website and it will be in yearly base. It was only for GMC and CHEVY truck with year between 1957 truck till 1987 (step side and fleet side) and most of them are from Saudi Arabia and the rest are from Kuwait, Qatar and United Arab Emirates. Some of the truck has the original paint and it is really expensive truck and some of the cost a lot during the restoration to return it as original as and was manufactured. I will not say it is the biggest meeting in the world for GMC and CHEVY truck but as management of the website, we thought that only 15 to 20 trucks will come, but we were surprised of the number of trucks that came to the meeting. More than 70 trucks came to the meeting and that only the number we could find a parking for them, the rest were stopped at the back.

The meeting was in the east of Saudi Arabia in place called Al-Nuairiyah city and it was in Al-Nuairiyah desert.

The meeting was in Thursday 19 – January – 2012 and here are some pictures of the meeting:

First, I will start with logo of the website

Here are some of the pictures of the place when we went to see it and make the reservation which cost us alot for the weekend:

This is the welcome logo and I think we put 2 or 3 of them in different places:

Its so cool to see that many squares all together. It seems 3/4 ton c20/c25/c35 is the truck of choice in SA.

I have to ask, since you are in Saudi Arabia what are your gas prices? Cool trucks too.

That is really awesome! Thanks for sharing.

I think a lot of us would be completely upset to find that we went to the car show and our trucks got filthy!

Red Trucks....Halliburton???

One of our guys at Halliburton told me they had the second largest truck fleet in the world ...only the US Army had more.

But I see some Sierra Classics...possibly the importer just liked red

Box rails and cab marker lites on everything

Neat pictures

Being deployed in the middle east you see when they import vehicles they are usually in one or two colors. 90% of the cars in Iraq are white or yellow. You see big rigs with upwards of 15 cars on them all are the exact same. I would assume the same was done with these trucks. Although as one person said it could have been a retired Halliburton fleet.

I would figure they do not have to worry about rust like we do here. They all seem to be rust free. No salt-lol They sure love their red trucks. Is that a requirement? Nice trucks.
