original hubcaps?.....

I have a 1963 GMC shortbed fleetside custom, does anyone know (or have pictures) of the original hubcaps? I want to bring the truck back to original. I'm looking to buy, so if you have some or know anyone who does I'd be interested. Thanks!!

Re: original hubcaps?.....

I sent him pictures of the hubcaps I sent to you that I got from Trent. gmcguy.com was mistified by these as he had never seen one's like you now have.

Re: original hubcaps?.....

I'm thinking yours were 61 then came the 62-63 with the bold face. This way they could manufacture a cap with the center removed for 4X4 applications.

Bingo! Those are Canadian caps. Used the old '55-'59 logo.61-early 62 had blue centers. Late 62-63 had red centers.

Re: original hubcaps?.....

'62-63 American caps are shown on photo below (red centers only-GMC logo similar to lettering on grill).'61 American GMC caps are similar to the American '55- '60 caps.

Re: original hubcaps?.....

Thanks, Aerotruck. I've seen those pics for '62 but never a good, clear closeup of a '62 cap. Anybody got one? Maybe NOS?
