Gas cap

Bought a new Stant brand fuel cap. Says assembled in mexico which is fine but im sure the rubber is from china since after only 6 months its all cracked!!

Any Input?? Please look at your gas cap rubber and reply here if cracked or not??

Mine cracked also I fixed it by going to the hardware store and looked in the plumbing department and they sell rubber washers that size used on toilets and sinks. I doubled up on the washer and no leaks or cracks and fits nice and tight for 10 years

I bought a replacement cap from LMC about 8 months ago and the rubber is holding up fine, no signs of drying out and cracking. The cap itself is a fram cap if that helps.

Yep! The fram cap part number is PRG-23.
