Vent Windows - completely restored

I have the left and right vent windows off of a 1968 chevy c10. I have completely restored them with new division bars, new felt, new glass, new rubber seals, and had the frames powder coated black. I am including two new chrome handle kits. $300/pr - free shipping

Wow those are nice... I am interested, but curious as to why you did not use them? Would you be willing to install the handles so that they would be ready out of the box? Did you use the original style rivets when reassembling or pop rivets?

Re: Vent Windows - completely restored

I was planning on putting them back on my '68 but then i saw you could buy a kit to turn the door windows into a one piece window and delete the vent window and desided to go that route instead. I used original style rivets that i got in a rebuild kit from LMC. And yes i would be willing to install the handles.

Did you use the kit from Brothers or from One Piece Products? and what problems did you have with it?

Re: Vent Windows - completely restored

i used the brothers kit, passengers side great, driver side , the glass setting tape did'nt hold, which inturn caused problems with felt and scrapers of which i had to buy new ones not cheap and still have not put them in because i'm dreading it and the channel run loosened up, just one thing after the other and i still have wind noise, good thing for me is i ride with my window down all the time. I wish i could go back with wing windows, especially the ones as nice as yours

I second this opinion I aslo did the one piece and like he said passenger side is a good fit drivers side is poopy wind blows in when window is up, window gets sucked outwards when its part way down, and window scraper was so tight window could not go up and down I had to cut all the rubber off so the window would work but now it stops no water from going into door.
