Spindle opinion.....

Hey guys, I am looking at buying 2.5" drop spindles for my 68 GMC LB 1/2 Ton. Looking at the ECE, McGaugys and Classic Performance. Any one have troubles with any of them or maybe a better reccomendation? As well I have the 6 bolt pattern right now, I'd like to leave them 6 bolt, Will any C10/C15 spindle accept 6 bolt or do you need to order specific? Thanks Guys/Gals

what I found is I had to upgrade to the McGaugys Disc Brakes in front to change spindles and I got them from Classic Performance, You can purchase them to stay with 6 Lugs like I did. They was a direct built on, and did not have to change the master cylinder and that saved me money. what a great fit for sure. Only thing I did not like was changing the ball joints. lol what a pita that is, but worth it in the long run.

You will have to convert to disc brakes and the CPP kit I used needed to be clearanced in a non-critical area for 15" wheels. Other than that it was pretty easy. The grinder was still warmed up from removing the upper ball joint rivets.

Oh yes thats the other thing Like 71tahoe mentioned, the kit I got stardard from classic performace would not have worked with 15in wheels, I was lucky I already had 18's.
