Scored a new set of wheels for my 71 gmc 2500

Well I gave up on finding some good slot mags for the 71 gmc 2500, and then stumbled across these almost perfect 04 take offs with caps for $200. just ordered a set off new lug nuts to adapt for the caps. Now I just need some tires.

Here's the new wheels

And the truck they're for

They will look awesome on there. I have seen a few pics of trucks with those wheels and I liked them. Some feel they are inset too far but I dont see it, maybe that was an older drum brake truck with a narrower track

I just got the same set for my 69! I have to get the chevy center caps from the guy, but they look pretty good I think.

I like them, some people think they look like they set too far in on the rear but I think they look about right.

I had a set on a 69 C-20 and i think the inset is too much. It made mine ride differnt. But they do look good!

Where did you order the lug nuts from? I have a set of these wheels for my 72' 2500, and just picked up a set of late model truck rallys as well. The last time I put late model wheels/center caps on an older truck, I had to machine/tap all of the lug nuts to fit the older studs. I would love to be able to just spin on some new nuts and be able to install the center caps and lug covers.

I think they will look good, especially with a 285 on them.

Here is my bucket of bolts with the late model wheels. They will look alot better when the center caps and lug covers installed.

I think you fat-fingered your tire size.

Ya, not so much fat fingered as in a hurry and not paying attention.
