Brake proportioning valve
Is there a difference between the power assisted and non-power brake proportioning valve for a 70? Why I ask, the PO convereted the truck from manual to power brakes but the PV looks like it was not replaced.

What does the valve look like? Proportioning valves are used with disc brakes as the flow between front and rear are different.
I would think that your valve is not a true proportioning valve but is set up to separate the front from the rear if there is a leak. It should work fine with the power brake booster. Jim |

So all it's there for is the idiot light, since I have front and rear drums.
Should be some pics in my signature link under drivetrain in the first row.

That is what the valve is, as you said!
I liked the "Truck in the snow" picture! Jim |
