ME Taillight/bedside repair panel???

Hey folks lookin to see if anyone has any knowledge of a replacement panel available for the drivers side panel behind the tailgate post?? Lost my tailgate hinge on my Big Red Chevy, during removal found a not so uncommon problem in the Northeast, is this a panel any distributors offer or possibly someone has a spare bedside thats unsalvagable that would be willing to seperate?? here are some pics

Is the rest of the bedside good? I have an 84 in my yard thet I have new bedsides for.Not sure of the overall condition of the old drivers side but at the least I could probably say you could salvage that rear section, if the whole thing wasn't better that what you have. Lmk what your working with and I can try and post up some pictures tomorrow.

Rest of the bed side is in really good shape, just cant see having to replace the whole bed side, ya know??? That would be AWESOME, man do I really appreciate this forum!!!

heres some pictures of the piece.I need a few days before I can cut it off. Im using the bed floor so i have to unbolt some of it to get it apart instead of just chopping it wide with the grinder. LMK if it looks good I'm still thinking about what its worth,not so much the piece but the time to cut it out and box it to ship it. If you wanted to buy a cab I could throw it in for free. just kidding,but I would if you did. I have another one of these trucks thats not here in the yard that may have that piece too I will try and go to look at before I chop this out.

Much much better shape than mine, I'm at a standstill til I can install one that isn't rotten to pieces, but Ol Red isn't my daily driver currently so no rush!!! I used a spot weld removal bit from NAPA to remove the tailgate post, not sure how easily accessible this piece is with the tailgate post still in will be??!!! I had mine off in about a hr maybe a lil longer, lemme know what your thinkin for a price, THANKS

Didnt forget you just had a job I was working on turn to crap,roof job turned into rotted sidewall,water damage ants and powder post beetles,havent had much free time. I'll try and get it done this week after work.

was the truck originally from RI?? I`m from RI originally and i know how the seasons beat the pants on vehicles there. I use to live in coventry.. NO SCHOOL FOSTER GLOUSTER lol....

Strangly enough my brother inlaw brought that truck up from Virginia several years ago. No school Foster Glocester,its incredible how many people know about that. I had peple ask me about that when we were in Disney and Ive gotton packages from the west coast with E bay stuff that that had that scrawled near the address too.

Well winter will be here before long looking to see if anyone is scrapping any beds or bedsides, with a useable taillight pocket panel, if so please lemme know I'm willing to pay including shipping!!! Thanks

That's the tailgate post panel which is what I was replacing when I ran into my current problem, panel I need is what the taillight housing actually screws into

There is a good buddy of mine he has several chevy trucks, i will see what i can dig up if anything. can`t promise though a lot of these trucks have been sittin for a while and pretty rusted up. get back to you by tomorrow evening

Sorry bad news he doesnt have any worth salvaging except one and this truck he uses on occasion so no go on it. I will keep my ears and eyes open for you though these "good ole` buys" go through the sqaures like nothing seen before so i`m bound to find something for ya.

I feel your pain, I just went through the same problem, no aftermarket piece available except the outer shell.
I looked at 5-6 sides available to me without finding a good one.
I had to take one out of another good bed side to get this one together, now I have a mint side with a missing tail light channel.
