I ordered a pair of rear floor supports locally but only 1 came in. While driving home, I realized that I could easily make this part.
Took me about 15 minutes to make the pattern (works for right or left) and I made the support in about 30 minutes. The metal was cut from an old hood so I know it's good quality. Makes me want to return the $22 dollar repro and make my own for the other side! ![]()

Bob, Can you fax me the pattern? I just love making my own parts. I would take the one off my cab but it is the only thing keeping the water from splashing up and getting my pants wet...LOL!

It's nice to take a little time and save some money in the end. And your's will probably fit better and be of higher quality

Hey bobs409
Do you have a metal break (brake?) of some sort or are you just bending over a 2X4 or something similar? Your floor support looks professional. ![]()

Just used my 6 inch bench vise. Doing the bends was the easy part. A matter of minutes. Took longer to cut out the hood. (I used a jigsaw with metal cutting blade)
All your doing is the same thing the repro people do, only on a smaller scale. ![]() I can do this type of work but embarrasingly, never used a fax. LOL ![]() You could always buy a repro, make the pattern and then send it back. ![]() Once you see a repro and hold one, you'll see how easy it is to make.
