I moved the engine as far back as I could without using the intake for a cup holder.

Re: Smitty's 67 Build
Rob from No Limit built the fuel tank. It has baffles in it and extra ports for the return line and a #10 outlet welded right in. Super nice top quility stuff.
http://www.nolimitparts.com/ I found some cool hardware from Devil Accessories He also has some cool door pulls/handles. These should make is easy to get out and to close the door when strapped in. http://www.devilaccessories.com/ |

Re: Smitty's 67 Build
Chris, check out Speedway Engineering for a rear sway bar parts @ www.speedway1.com I'd use 1 1/4" 48 spline bars and arms. bars are avail in different lengths, 35", 36", 36.5", 37.5", 38.5".... An .095" wall bar is #608-095+length, a .125" wall bar is #608-125+length.

Here are some pics of the Fat Bar and the Shockwaves being installed. Just tacked everything together to make sure it all fits and works.

Re: Smitty's 67 Build
Looks awesome. Are you planning to notch the frame at all or do you think you will be low enough without it? What about bump stops?

Re: Smitty's 67 Build
No notch in the frame we raised the rails 5.5 inches. There will be a bump stop above the axle. It should be 2 inches off the ground aired out.

Re: Smitty's 67 Build
Put it on the ground to see how it looks. It will sit about a inch lower when done.
Good view of how far back the engine is. |
