Bumpers from Brothers Trucks

Brothers is having a sale on bumpers which ends soon. Their price is good but I was wondering if anyone has ordered a bumper from Brothers recently and if they were happy with the quality/fit.

Re: Bumpers from Brothers Trucks

I haven't bought bumpers from Brothers but I have bought both Keyparts and Goodmark bumpers and have been satisfied with them. The aftermarket bumpers are thinner than stock bumpers. One of the things to watch for is that often the "square" on the new bumper bolts you'll buy sticks beyond the thickness of the bumper and bumper bracket. Consequently. you can tighten the nut down without fully tightening because it has bottomed out against the square. An over size flat washer followed by the regular flat and lock washers usually doe the trick. Don't over tighten as you can dimple the repop bumpers fairly easily.

Yeah Colorado, go to the Ca. region there's another thread there about the "Brothers Show" along with all the info, including where we stay (group rates) and the pre-show meeting place, ect. It's worth checking out. If you also get a chance checkout last years thread.

K5, you won't be disappointed, make sure you pass the word to all our other friends with trucks in Colorado.

Re: Bumpers from Brothers Trucks

Thanks C/10 King, the thing is havent met anybody that is really into these trucks that like to customize them. But i know a few older guys that have been building em since they were new trucks. So thats why i wann go out to cali wanna see a Porterbuilt in the flesh. Ive helped bag a few of these trucks but guys i know out here just aint into them like you cali guys. I love everything low im finishing up my 71 4x4 Blazer and starting on my 71 2wd Blazer next. Most my friends build bikes and cars no trucks.
