Spring susp lift how high?

I have a 82 half ton and i want to level it out preferably 2 1/2 half.I just want the truck to have a good stance so i could buy some 35 inch tires with some big rims to give it some height.I dont know what coil spring to get or leaf springs and u joints etc.???????

Check this link out, pretty good job. You can use 88-98 lift spindles with 3/4 ton springs for a 73-87. In the rear you can use lift blocks or get some rear leaf brackets for a 4wd (LMC sells them) dont know if you will clear 35's or not. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=447061

I would say minimum of 4" lift to clear 35" tires... and that all depends on how wide of wheels / tires you're going to run as to whether your front tires will rub inside the fenderwells. Really, 5-6" lift would be ideal... That would give you plenty of lift to keep everything proportional to the tires.
