A/C fill question
I put in an A/C unit out of my donor 90 chevy truck into my 69. I converted it to R134a, new compressor and drier. Added oil to the compressor then charged it up.
Well it leaked, so I need to fix the leak (I know where its leaking, flourescent ref. works great!). My question is: do I need to add more oil. If so, how much? |

Re: A/C fill question
Unless it lost it's charge fast then i most likely didn't dump it's oil. How large is the oil spot?

Re: A/C fill question
The floresant die is in the oil. Put in about the same amount that leaked out.

Re: A/C fill question
Two questions come to mind. Did you flush the condenser and the evaporator? If so, did the new compressor oil charge acount for that, the lines, and the new drier?
