Re: tailgate panel
I had thought about doing that to my tailgate panel about 5 years ago as it had a couple dings. I think it looks good on your truck.

Re: tailgate panel
first off, looks great. i can see the chevelle thing too! i love it!
if anyone hasn't heard of "bumper black" trim paint, this stuff is worth its weight in gold. it leaves a very nice finish and is the only way to do semi satin black! i think SEM makes the brand i use. |

Re: tailgate panel
I think it looks REALLY good. The stainless color panel looks like its an after thought thats just bolted in there. I like the stainless panels, dont get me wrong, but this looks like it belongs there. Very nice. Would look good on a black truck also I think. I might see if i can find one at the pick n pull.

Re: tailgate panel
i have a bunch of ss badges from various novas ,chevelles, and impalas ive owed and im thinkin of adding one.im thinking of adding a cowl hood with the proper badging from a chevelle as well.i also like the way chevy put the engine size badges on the fenders too.im thinkin a "what if" look.as if chevy wouldve built an SS short bed in the 60s or 70s.but minus the stripes(not many people know the stripes were not mandatory on an SS).this look would be killer on a 68-72 short bed as well.i also agree that the panel would look really good on a black truck.

Re: tailgate panel
That looks awesome! It needs an SS logo below the tailgate handle and you would nail it.
