Garage addition, new.
Finishing up the garage. Have to get the metal and finish. Every thing will match the garage and it will all be wrapped. Wanted to add this when the garage was built year and a half ago but ran out of funds. The stepside has about 8 inches of clearance.

Nothing like adding shop space.Looks good but you may not have much visibility backing out.

Re: Garage addition, new.
Some friends from the FD are coming by this morning to help me put the roof on. Backing out shouldn't be a problem. The posts are wider than the doors and the only thing I park in there is the Stepside.

Re: Garage addition, new.
Nice looking job there ,,what is that pitch 2/12 ? It looks like you are going to put flashing under the upper roof metal and over the top of the bottom roof metal,,is this correct?
If so I would put them rubber locking weather strips which is the same shape as the roofing on top of the roof under the flashing and silicone the heck out of it to keep the wind from blowing water up under it and leaking down your wall above your doors . I have done this many and it works when you dont have a steep pitch roof.. just an idea mudder if you need it ,not trying to tell you what to do ..

Re: Garage addition, new.
Larry we took the bottom roll of screws out of the garage roof and slide the new roof about 2.5 inches under then screwed it all back down. It fits really tight. The sides will have gray metal and everything will be wrapped. I have even decided to inclose the ceiling to keep the little birds out.

Re: Garage addition, new.
Has been raining over night and no leaks as of yet. I know it will get wet around the sides but this was mainly done for shade. Sweet gum trees is not a good place to wash, wax or park under. They drop a fine sap that is hard to get off. Will add pics again when it is done.
