seat question?
I'm thinking about putting 88 &up seats in my 69, but i am concerned about leg room .If i take the tank out from behind the seat how much more room will that free up?

The seat is still restricted from rear movement by the inner body panel under the window. I can barely get my fingers between the panel, and stock seat, in full rear adjustment.

The gas tank doesn't restrict rear movement of most seats. The backrest hitting the inner wall of the cab just below the window is the problem. If you jack up your seat a bit so that the backrest comes above that inner wall, you can gain about an inch of leg room or 2 inches of belly room. I jacked up my buckets by putting them onto a 2x4 and added a tilt column. You can also move the steering wheel forward via the column if you like. It's a little more work but it can be done.

Well........ i thought there may have been a little better solution than losing "a few extra pounds " but i guess theres not.
