New 66 from Fairfield CA.
Hi, just got a 66 c10 stepside. looking forward to having fun doing a restore/mod on this beauty. Looks like an old farm truck now but if you squint just right you can see what it will look like

Re: New 66 from Fairfield CA.
Just going to go though it and make it 100% mechanically reliable first. It is a driver and appears to run fine but until I have gone through it I won't be satisfied. I am going to take the bed out (it's rotted) and start at the back cleaning and painting the frame, removing and refurbishing everything as I move forward. That should last me through the summer. After that it will be all about body work and interior. Probably a 2-3 inch drop in suspension. Lots of little details to consider. I'm just finishing up a restoration of a bike and I promised myself I would finish that before I really tear into the truck so it will be a couple more weeks before I can really get started.

It has a 1969 327/TH350. Runs pretty good for an old farm truck

Re: New 66 from Fairfield CA.
No doubt, how about a look under the hood? Here is my engine bay. I just picked this truck up in March, I am told it is a 283, but have not confirmed that yet. Three speed stick was moved to the floor at some point.
